Last updated: 17 October 2026 · Compliant with ASCI India and FTC (16 CFR Part 255) Rules
At cheapest.wtf, we are committed to complete transparency. Our mission is to help you find the lowest legitimate price across verified merchants without affiliate bias, fake discounts, or hidden fees.
In compliance with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Guidelines for Affiliate Marketing in Digital Media and the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR § 255.5), this page explains how our platform earns revenue and how we ensure this never compromises our editorial integrity or algorithmic rankings.
Our Core Operating Principles
- Zero Cost to You: Clicking our links and purchasing products never increases the price you pay. You pay the exact same price (or lower, if coupons apply) as going directly to the store.
- No Pay-to-Rank: We never accept payment to move an offer up in our price comparison tables. The store with the lowest total price is always #1.
- Non-Affiliate Stores Included: If a merchant with the lowest price does not have an affiliate program or offer us commission, we still list them first.
1. How We Earn Revenue (Affiliate Commissions)
cheapest.wtf participates in various affiliate marketing programs, including networks such as Admitad, Cuelinks, InrDeals, vCommission, Travelpayouts, and direct merchant partner programs.
When you click on an outbound button or link on our website (such as “Compare prices”, “View offer”, or “Apply at issuer”) and complete a qualifying purchase, booking, or card application on the third-party merchant’s platform, we may receive a referral commission from that merchant or network.
2. How We Rank Offers (The Standard Effective Price Algorithm)
Unlike conventional comparison sites that sort products by the highest paying affiliate commission, cheapest.wtf ranks eligible offers strictly by our deterministic Standard Effective Price algorithm:
This calculation accounts for real checkout costs: mandatory delivery fees, platform fees, and payment gateway surcharges. Offers are ranked purely in ascending order of this effective price. Commission rate is not a parameter in the sorting algorithm.
3. How Referral Links Work (Technical Attribution)
When you click an offer, our edge routing layer (/go/[offerId]) prepares the redirect:
- It generates a unique, anonymous click identifier (
click_id) that is passed as a sub-identifier (e.g.subid) to the affiliate network. - The click identifier contains no name, email, IP address, or financial details.
- It validates the destination against an allowlist of verified merchant domains to protect you against arbitrary redirects or phishing.
- If an offer is expired or invalid, it redirects to an informative error page rather than a deceptive alternate search.
4. Privacy & Data Handling
Our use of click attribution identifiers is strictly limited to measuring conversion efficacy. We do not profile individual users across external websites or engage in cross-site behavioral tracking. For complete details regarding our data minimization practices, user rights, and grievance redressal under India’s DPDP Act 2023, please review our full Privacy Policy.
5. Trademark and Merchant Independence
All merchant logos, brand names, and product names (such as Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, HDFC, SBI, Apple, Samsung) are trademarks of their respective owners. Their appearance on cheapest.wtf is for nominative identification purposes only. cheapest.wtf is an independent service and is not owned, operated, or endorsed by any merchant, airline, or bank.
